Established in 1986, the Imperia Vintage Yacht Challenge soon became an important date in the calendar of events dedicated to historical boats. Many of the main regatta and pleasure crafts from the first half of the last century meet at the beginning of September. Imperia Classic Yachts Challenge has become a biennial occurrence, taking place in even years. It is undoubtedly one of the most important events of its kind in the Mediterranean and a strong sailing tradition.
